Personal Claude Code reference
Commands, skills, keyboard shortcuts, and best practices for Claude Code — collected in one place.
This is my personal library for Claude Code — short, practical pages I come back to whenever I forget how something works. No long explanations: just the command, what it does, and an example.
The sections at a glance
Commands
Every slash command — /init, /compact, /model, /permissions, and the rest.
Skills
What skills are, where they live, and how to write your own SKILL.md.
Shortcuts and tricks
Shift+Tab, double Esc, and the !, #, and @ prefixes.
Tips
CLAUDE.md, plan mode, worktrees, subagents — how to work efficiently.
If you only have two minutes
These four things change how you work with Claude Code more than anything else:
Write a CLAUDE.md
Run /init in your project. The file is read at the start of every session and saves you
endless re-explaining — details in Tips.
Plan before you write
Press Shift+Tab to reach plan mode for larger changes. Claude proposes a plan first, then
touches the code.
Keep the context clean
/clear between unrelated tasks, /compact once a session gets long.
Delegate the big jobs
Subagents (/agents) and skills keep your main context small and focused.
